Stand-alone Licence

The instructions for installing a SPACE GASS stand-alone licence using a Titan softlock are as follows.

This is a two stage process that involves installing the Titan server followed by installing SPACE GASS on the same computer. Ensure that you follow each step carefully.

Installing the Titan server

  1. Click here to download the latest Titan server program and save it to your desktop.

  2. When the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file to install it. Follow the installation prompts and accept the default settings for each step until the installation is complete.

  3. If the Titan system has not yet been registered, the following Titan Registration form will appear. Note that if the Titan Administration tool simply opens without first displaying the form below then it has already been registered and you can close it and then proceed with the SPACE GASS installation as described below. If the installer does not display this form, you can access it by clicking Start Button => All Programs => Titan Licence Manager => Administration Tool

  4. Request a SPACE GASS registration package by emailing the hardware signature from the above form to admin@spacegass.com.

This is not an automated service and so please also include your business name and contact details in the email so that you can be identified!

  5. Close the above Titan Registration form.

  6. When you receive the SPACE GASS registration package (called SGRegistration.pkg) by return email, save it to your desktop and then proceed with the SPACE GASS installation procedure below.

For SPACE GASS 10 installations, re-open the Titan Administration tool as in step 3 above, click the "Register" button, browse to the folder that you saved SGRegistration.pkg into above and then click Ok.

Installing SPACE GASS

  1. Click here to download the latest SPACE GASS program and save it to your desktop.

  2. When the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file to install it. Follow the installation prompts and accept the default settings for each step until the installation is complete.

  3. Re-start your computer before proceeding further. If you skip this step SPACE GASS may crash when you run it!

  4. Double-click the SPACE GASS shortcut on your desktop to start the program. SPACE GASS will start and then require you to agree to the end user licence agreement.

  5. If SPACE GASS is not yet registered, the following form will appear.

Click "Register with a Package" if you have received a SPACE GASS registration package (called SGRegistration.pkg) by email and have saved it from the email to your desktop. If you haven't yet saved it from the email then please do so before clicking the button.

If you don't yet have a registration package, click "Cancel" to exit the installation. Provided you have purchased a SPACE GASS licence, you can obtain your registration package by requesting it from admin@spacegass.com (refer to "Installing the Titan server" above).

Do not click the "Connect to Titan on the Network" button.

  6. You should then browse to where you saved the SPACE GASS registration package (called SGRegistration.pkg). Select it and then click "Open" to complete the registration.

  7. Click here to optimize SPACE GASS to use your hardware correctly (this is very important).

  8. SPACE GASS should now run.
