Summaries

Model summaries can be created based on selected elements or visible elements. Summaries can be created for node, member, plate, material or section data. They can be very useful as they provide a quick way of quantifying things like mass, volume, plate area, etc. for an entire model or any sub-section of the model.

 

Summaries of selected elements

To create a summary of the selected elements. Select a group of nodes, members or plates. Right-click and hover over either “Node Tools”, “Member Tools” or “Plate Tools”, then select the appropriate summary from the menu that appears

 

 

 

 

 

Summaries of visible elements

To create a summary of the visible elements, right click over an empty space inside the renderer window. Then hover over “Summaries” and select the appropriate summary from the menu that appears. These summaries will only apply to the elements which are currently visible.
