Fix/release node degree of freedom

The fix/release node degree of freedom tool lets you fix or release a translational degree of freedom for all selected nodes.

After selecting one or more nodes, right-click and select “Node Tools” => “Fix Degree of Freedom (F)” or “Node Tools” => “Release Degree of Freedom (R)”, then select the global axis which you would like to fix or release the node in translation.

For example, if a user selects one or more nodes, then right-click and select “Node Tools” => “Fix Degree of Freedom” => “Translation Y”, then the selected nodes will have an F as the second character in the node fixity code. However, the other characters in the node fixity code will remain unchanged. If the node previously had “NONE” for the node fixity code, this would be replaced with RFRRRR.
