Hardware locks are the traditional security system for SPACE GASS, however they are now less common due to the popularity of the Titan softlock system. A hardware lock can be more convenient than the Titan softlock system if you have a number of stand-alone computers that are not connected via a network. In such cases you can simply install SPACE GASS on all of them and then move the hardware lock to the computer you want to run SPACE GASS on at the time.
